One of the biggest box office draws of the late 1980s and 1990s. Douglas won an Academy Award for his portrayal of a ruthless corporate raider in 'Wall Street'1987. His acting range includes both romantic and heroic leads in films such as 'Romancing the Stone' 1984 and 'Jewel of the Nile'1985 both of which he produced. Among his other films are 'Fatal Attraction'1987 and 'Basic Instinct'1991. Douglas first achieved recognition in the television series 'The Streets of San Francisco'1972-76, and as co-producer of 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'1975 which won an Academy Award for best picture. He is the son of actor Kirk Douglas.
